Settings to increase the thickness and contrast of of the gridlines in the the arranger and the detail editor panel.
What problem(s) would this feature resolve?
On some screens (eg iMac 27") it is very difficult to see the gridlines in the arrangement and MIDI editor views as they are very thin! Different users have different eyes, screens and light setups, and all of us get older every day.
How does this feature fit in Bitwig as a product?
Increasing accessibility is good for any product. Bitwig is already rich in settings and customization. And additional setting wouldn’t get in the way of those not needing it, and it would be very welcomed by those needing it.
Is there already an alternative way to achieve this on Bitwig?
No
Could it be implemented using Bitwig components or APIs, without Bitwig team’s support?
No
Could it be provided by an STV or something else reasonably integrated with Bitwig?
I don’t think so.
Are there other products that offer this feature?
Ableton used to suffer this same problem until version 11 where a setting was introduced so you could adjust the thickness of gridlines. This was a great quality of life improvement. Bitwig needs this too!
