Quickly zooming out of your current position and zoom factor and show the whole project (horizontal zoom), and with the same shortcut, toggle back to your previous detail view. You can simply switch between the two, which is helpful e.g. when you’re working on a detail and quickly want to have a look where the playback is at, so you can quickly zoom out and then in again to continue your work.

Quicker overview while working on a detail, and wanting to see the whole project quickly. So far, I can zoom out to the whole arrangement, but would have to zoom into the spot where I was before manually.

In Ableton Live 11, they introduced the option to quickly toggle with the shortcut ‘W’ between the current zoom and position you’re at, and a bird’s eye view of the whole open set.
