There ist a pretty cool very younf Plugin called
you can control visual elements with midi and audio
there are some nice lements to use
you can use polyphony elements
you can import your own mp4
but, its a young tool and would love it grows…

@nwsm I have moved your comment on Video support to its own topic because VS - Visual Synthesizer, while interesting, is not a tool to produce music for video, but a tool that produces video based on music. Just keeping the feature requests focused. 
VS can run as a plugin so maybe someone (you?) is using it already with Bitwig.
