The Test Tone osc is the only device capable of shifting pitch beyond -48 to +48.
This addition to the grid would open up opportunities to accomplish sound design only achievable by 3rd party modular synth plugins.
The Test Tone Osc can be used to in the FX grid but is limited to single or layered input limiting the ability to patch into additional components.
Other Modular synth VST’s provide this ability. Cardinal, Reaktor, etc…
