Short animations in the User Guide

Short and clear gifs in addition to the still pictures would be really awesome and make the manual much more lively. Many times it is much easier to understand what you’re reading when you are being shown it as well.

Unlike videos where you need to sometimes watch minutes to get the few seconds of information you were looking for, you could search the manual precisely and watch it in action there.

Also it is nicer to link a page of the manual than a full YouTube video when, for example, answering a question in a forum.

What is this feature about?

What problem(s) would this feature resolve?

How does this feature fit in Bitwig as a product?

Is there already an alternative way to achieve this on Bitwig?

Could it be implemented using Bitwig components or APIs, without Bitwig team’s support?

Could it be provided by an STV or something else reasonably integrated with Bitwig?

Are there other products that offer this feature?

This is an interesting proposal, thank you. I think we could say “short animations” or something along these lines instead of GIFs. One can achieve this feature with GIFs, but there might be other ways.

Are you aware of other products doing this in their manuals? It would be very useful to have examples.

Given that Bitwig offers excellent in-app help (F1), I was wondering in which cases animations in the user guide are missed. A couple of real examples would be useful.
