Nudge commands for clips in arranger

Clips in Bitwig can only be moved by dragging with the mouse or by editing the position in the inspector. “Nudging” clips with keyboard shortcuts would provide an additional way of moving clips and experimenting with their positioning.

What problem(s) would this feature resolve?

Faster and easier manipulation of clips with the keyboard in the Arranger

How does this feature fit in Bitwig as a product?

It makes experimentation with beat placement and rhythms overall more accessible

Is there already an alternative way to achieve this on Bitwig?

Currently you can only move clips with the mouse or by editing the position in the inspector.

Could it be implemented using Bitwig components or APIs, without Bitwig team’s support?

I do not believe so

Could it be provided by an STV or something else reasonably integrated with Bitwig?

No

Are there other products that offer this feature?

Ableton Live, Logic, likely others as well

A post was split to a new topic: [Draft discussion] Nudge commands for clips in arranger

This should include FRAME LEVEL nudging as well, once Video support is added for film scoring.

It works with notes in the piano roll.
The shortcuts should do the same in arranger, but don’t.
Make it make sense please.
