A mini map would make working in the arrangement view a lot easier.
How does this feature fit in Bitwig as a product?
A minimap already exists for the Grid, although only visible in the devices panel. A minimap in the arrangement view would make Bitwig more consistent and accessible.

Do you mean a scroll bar mini map ? Ableton and FL studio have scroll bars in the arrangement that give an overview of where colored items are, it’s actually subtly useful and good use of screen real estate. If there is a bunch of junk tacked to the end you can seen it and remember that without scrolling to it. Also a bunch of yellow colored bass ideas could be easily seen.
Another option that would most likely use mor e screen would be actually adding an RTS like minimap like StarCraft or the grid in bitwig,
