Keyboard panel replication on Linnstrument

Hi, the On screen keyboard panel looks really like the Linnstrument.
I do not have any problem using Linnstrument as midi “master keyboard” but to only way to have midi showed on the Linnstrument when playing the record is selecting it as output >> so no sound as the note are only sent to Linnstrument as output.
It will be great to have the possiibility to select the Linnstrument as a midi replicator of the On screen Keybaord pannel.
NB: A midi matrix with the possibility to select multiple midi out from a same source is another possibiliy.

Hi @Pierrot, welcome to Bitwish.

Isn’t the Linnstrument automatically recognized by Bitwig? I’m saying this based on Support - LinnStrument - Free Bitwig Studio 8-Track.

After a quick search, there seems to be at least one alternative project for a controller script – see An alternative LinnStrument Bitwig controller extension - Roger Linn Design Forum - KVR Audio.

Well, I never had anything “automatically recognized”, I had to add it manually in the controler setup. MPE may be automatically configured.

The proposed alternative is not really corresponding to my request. This alternative allow to play on multople channel at the same time … not on multiple Midi devices.
The On screen Keyboard Panel show the note played for the selected instument. I want to have the same on Linnstrument, like this pannel does. For that, the possibility to select the Liinstrument midi device (inside an oprion in the Keyboard panel for example) is needed.

For now, you can just send to 1 selected output device :

  • Selecting Master as ouput (Sorry can only place 1 media)
Like that note are send to the instrument > sound is played

  • Bitwig3
Like that, notes are well sent to Linnstrument and showed on it like on the Keyboard Panel , but no sound is played as notes are no more going to the Master (or any audio device)
. Will be OK if the possibility to select an audio destination AND a midi destination, but there is no way to select multiple output.
NB: in this example it’s for only 1 instrument. To avoid to have to do the same for all, having the Keyboard Panel witch can be replicated via selected Midi interface will be great, so Linnstrument may be used like the keyboard pane
    l for each instrument selected.
    Hope I’m clear :slightly_smiling_face:
