Comping in Bitwig allows audio takes to be combined into one audio segment, as in other DAWs. MIDI comping would add the same capability for recorded MIDI data. Hybrid tracks allow for both MIDI and audio data to be represented on the same track, and it is suggested in this situation that both audio and MIDI be usable as takes when comping a particular section. Sections from both the audio and the MIDI can then be chosen to use in the final take which is then all bounced down to a single piece of audio.
