is there an entry for this on the community watchlist?

I can’t understand how this is not implemented already, cropping a clip to a selection it is such a common editing task

Is Select part of the clip + right click + Split not good?

Context: Clip View — Ableton Reference Manual Version 11 | Ableton (the link points to the Cropping Audio Clips section.

yes. especially doing things in context of the clip like duplicating loop contents. i feel like that’s in similar territory.
