Say you are performing with a device, using the 8 remote controls and a controller. Is there a way to change from a remote control page to another on the same device without having to select the dropdown menu with the mouse?
I couldn’t find a way to do this via midi (i.e. imagine you could use buttons to select different pages, or at least a fader to scroll them). I couldn’t find a way to set keyboard shortcuts either.
Given that remote controls play an important role in performances (right?) I would expect a quick way to access the other pages in a device.
This will make changing pages dependent on controller script. This means that, in case of disaster just before a concert, if one doesn’t have an exact replacement, the feature will not be available.
A better solution would be to have a shortcut to be assigned. My humble opinion.
I use remote pages because they are automagically assigned to any 8 knobs found on any controller, not depending on specific controller scripts.

sure, shortcut is the first thing I tried to look up, when stumbled upon this. so it’s a better default solution. but as for temporary measure, controller script could be generic enough to work with whatever, as long as you have spare control for doing the page switching or scrolling.
well, for that, every controller has keys (not notes but assignable controller keys), that aren’t mapped to remote pages, alas. But can be assigned as MIDI shortcut. I use three of those to change selected group and activate/deactivate.
