Better drum sequencer

(likes of FL Studio)

Biggo-bad or someone else can claim this request posted on Bitwig subreddit’s post What’s your next Bitwig release feature wishlists?

(Describe your feature request in a way that a Bitwig newcomer can understand. Optionally, fill the sections below. If you don’t have time now it’s ok, you or others can work on this draft later. For more information, see Writing a good feature request)

What problem(s) would this feature resolve?

How does this feature fit in Bitwig as a product?

Is there already an alternative way to achieve this on Bitwig?

Could it be implemented using Bitwig components or APIs, without Bitwig team’s support?

Could it be provided by an STV or something else reasonably integrated with Bitwig?

Are there other products that offer this feature?

Relevant links (optional)

Could we get a clear definition of “better” in this context? What changes do you envision would improve the sequencer and in what ways would they improve it?

Just copy what FL studio did with the drum sequencer and how it works with the piano roll, the reason why i haven’t fully switched to bitwig, i do all my drums on FL

I don’t use FL studio and searching for “drum sequencer” in their manual brings no results. Is this the same as a step sequencer?

A good feature request is self-contained. Can you explain what you do with drums on FL Studio that you can’t do (or can’t do in the same way) on Bitwig?

Likewise, I’ve never used FL studio so we’d need a more clear definition
