Allow modulators to have their own single macro knob

It would be neat if say, for example, the LFO modulator had a macro knob available when it’s collapsed. It could then control a parameter inside the LFO and I wouldn’t have to use a Macro modulator. It would save space. Any modulator which has space for a macro could have one.

you’re talking about remote controls. modulators have their own modulator pages in remote controls, you can modify and re-arrange them if you want as well. but also, you can create preset pages where you can combine most important or relevant parameters from different modulators. of course there’s still limit for 8 parameters per page, but that’s how it is.

Yes, I know about the remotes. The problem is, only 8 remotes can be viewed at a time. What I want is for modulators to have a single knob when they are collapsed(not a mapping to a remote). Their own single macro directly on the front panel of a collapsed modulator.

you know that’s just not possible with the way modulator UI is made? they all fit into square when collapsed and most of them have already minimised controls or important visuals in collapsed state. there’s a request for custom UI for Grid and possibly we could extend it to Chain device having custom UI builder with blocks. or maybe even have that UI builder tab in track level, which could also be used as channel strip in mix view. currently we only have remotes in mix view, which is better than nothing, but it’s not the best solution.

For some modulators, sure, I get that’s not possible. However, it seems like it would be possible for a modulator such as an LFO, which is only a square which shows the waveform. It would be nice to have a single knob there. I really hope there are updates in the works that allow us to make the modulator GUI more customized.
