I think this website is a great idea. I’m not sure how much the Bitwig people pay attention to it, but I would hope they do.
A due update. @x.iso volunteered to become a Bitwish admin and he has been administering this site since February 11. At the beginning of this transition I provided support explaining how non-evident things work, and so on. The fact is that @x.iso has taken the reigns, and now the Bitwish roadmap and anything else is his decision.
I’m staying as a backup. It would be good to have more people involved as admins or moderators. It’s not about the administration or moderation work – the project runs almost by itself. It’s about having a healthy governance for this community project. If you are interested or have questions, please reach out.
There is only one thing pending for me, which is to migrate Bitwish to a virtual server from a provider based in the EU. I also want to migrate the mail server, also to a EU provider. It’s not about the cost (which will remain low, and I keep paying the bills – no problem). It’s just a small and half-symbolic gesture related to the crazy politics in the world. Anyway, I want to complete this migration during this weekend, and after this I will give the main copy of the keys and the main responsibility about next steps to @x.iso.
Thank you, I was hoping we don’t have to close Bitwish. It’s a good, organized forum, and still have potential.
Server migration completed. If you didn’t notice anything, great! If something isn’t working, please let me know.
I have shared access to the server (Hetzner) and to the domain (Gandi) with @x.iso. I couldn’t share access to the mail server (Mailgun) I believe because I have the cheapest option that doesn’t allow to create teams (?). In any case, if I would disappear from the map, x.so and whoever has access to the server and the domain configuration could set up another mail server.
With this, my duties as main admin and moderators are over. I remain available for support and backup for anything you need @x.iso! Thank you very much again for stirring Bitwish further.
